workshop format
WORKSHOP ONE: Perfect for Beginners and those who may have only covered the Social Jive a couple of times in class. We will go through some of the easier and more basic steps of the Social Jive. There will be plenty of repetition and as you practise, we will be on hand to guide and support you. By the end of this 90-minute session, you will be confident at dancing a Social Jive.
WORKSHOP TWO: Ideal for those seeking to increase their repertoire and understanding of Social Jive. We'll focus on teaching you groups of steps and figures that can be used in your existing repertoire, showing you how to adapt and integrate new patterns into your dancing. This session is suitable for Improvers or confident Beginners ready to take their Social Jive skills to the next level.

Couples and individuals are welcome to attend. Due to the style of this workshop, if you are a solo student we will try our best to find you a partner (we have had solo students buddy up for our previous workshops).
These workshops are capped to only 10 couples to maintain a safe and pleasant learning environment for everyone. This is why on occasions we offer the same dances workshop back to back.

Why Are We Offering This
We're always listening to your ideas and suggestions (thank you for these). Here are the 3 main reasons we've decided to act on your suggestions.
Firstly, many of you have requested sessions where a dance is covered over a longer duration than our weekly classes, allowing you to have the opportunity to reinforce the tuition already received and really digest the dance.
Secondly, some of you have been away when we've covered a particular dance. We would like to give you the opportunity to learn the dance and not have to wait for the next time it's chosen in class.
Lastly, many Beginners have expressed an interest in learning the additional moves offered in our Improvers class. Unfortunately, their schedule doesn't accommodate this, but they're free on Sundays allowing them to upgrade their Social Jive choreography.

(b) Once tickets have been requested, payment is due within 48 hours to secure your place.
(c) Tickets are non-refundable nor transferable to any other event or person(s).
(d) Payment within 48 hours is each individual's responsibility. Reminders to pay within the specified 48 hour time period will not be issued.
(e) Some individuals may unfortunately discover their tickets have been sold if they fail to pay within 48 hours*.
(f) No tickets will be issued. Names are added to a guest list.
(g) We accept payment in person or via bank transfer.**
(h) Please do not make payment until your booking has been confirmed.
*Section (e): exceptions are made for those who contact us to inform us of a reason for delayed payment. A date for payment will then be agreed.
**PLEASE let Maggie know when you make a bank transfer and the bank reference you have given. She will then confirm receipt of funds with you. Please NEVER write generic references such as: dance, class, practice, private etc.
