Ballroom & Latin Line Dancing
What's It all about
This isn't 'yeeha' cowboy dancing, but it is Ballroom and Latin Line Dancing. Our routines are based upon 9 of the Ballroom and Latin dances (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive and Paso Doble).
- No partner is required! Ladies and gentlemen are welcome.
- It's a great opportunity to experience dances that are not taught in group classes until the higher levels too. For example, the Samba and Paso aren't taught in our Beginner Classes.
- Many people enjoy the extra opportunity to dance & the freedom of not having to worry about a partner. Like all our classes, these sessions are designed to be fun.
class pace
Please Note: Wednesday and Thursday classes are great for beginners and those with little experience. Tuesday's class is suitable for those with some dance experience, and Friday's class is ideal for those with plenty of experience & confidence.
- Tuesday has a medium Pace. We cover 8/10 dances.

- Thursday Morning has an entry level pace. We cover 6/7 dances.
- Thursday Evening has an entry level pace. We cover 6/7 dances.

Tuition method
On Tuesdays, we generally recap each dance twice. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, routines are typically recapped a minimum of four times. On Fridays, we rarely recap allowing us to dance the greatest number of routines.
Music Speed/Tempo
We sometimes adjust the speed of the music for both cardiovascular benefits and fun. This occurs occasionally in the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday classes but is most common on Fridays.
WHAT TO WEAr & bring to clas
As with all of the classes we offer, there is no dress code beyond suitability to the activity and environment. Please wear comfortable and sensible shoes (no flip flops, bare feet, loose-fitting shoes or stiletto heels that may damage the floor). Pumps are fine. Please do not add chalk or powder to the soles of your shoes. Shoes must be worn at all times. Please bring a drink. Please ask us if you would like advice.
Routines & Videos
With the exception of the Charleston Stroll, Steven creates every routine. They’re designed in a Line Dance format but also support your learning if you attend our regular Ballroom and Latin Classes or Private Tuition too. All routines are available on our website.
