Why Learn Sequence dances?
At many dance events, whilst approximately two thirds of these events are Ballroom or Latin, one third is often Sequence dancing.
Learning Sequence Is A Great Way To Join In Even More Dances
What is Sequence Dancing?
Sequence dances have a set pattern, so you can be anywhere in the world and everyone will be dancing the same routine. Once you've learned a dance, the steps never change. It's easy for everyone to learn with some Ballroom and Latin experience.
Everyone starts and stops at the same time. Couples dance around the floor in an anti-clockwise direction in both the Ballroom and Latin based dances. As everyone is dancing and moving in the same direction, it makes floorcraft (avoiding people) super easy.

If you have attended our pop-up practice sessions, or our practice and social dances, you will have seen us dancing beside some couples who are learning these sequence dances with us. You will have seen how much fun everyone is having!
Also, with 2 upcoming trips in 2022, for anyone attending the Cunard cruise or joining us at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom dance, learning some Sequence dances will enable you to dance much more, rather than having to sit out sections of the evening.

FAQ: "May I attend multiple workshops?" YES, you're most welcome to. Some choose to do so to reinforce the tuition.
Attendance and Time: These workshops are capped to only 9 couples to maintain a safe learning environment for everyone. This is why we offer the same dance class back to back.
Pick a time that suits you best when booking or let us know that you don't mind which time to allow us to even out the numbers.
Attendees: Whilst our Ballroom and Latin classes cater for couples and individuals, due to the nature of the Sequence / Old Time style of dance, couples are required.
HOWEVER, if a solo student wishes to join these workshops, we will try our best to find you a partner in advance of the lesson (we have had solo students buddy up for our previous workshops).
Payment: Please do not arrive to the workshop without giving us advance notice. Non-refundable payment in advance is necessary to secure your place.

be the first to know
Be the first to know about our workshops and courses. From time to time we will be offering workshops/courses to cover dances that we do not teach in our regular classes.
A workshop is a one-off session, whilst courses are spread out over a few sessions. For example, Sequence and Old Time dances are popular at many events.
Our workshops/courses will teach dances such as the Mayfair Quickstep, Square Tango, Rumba One, Sally Ann Cha Cha and Catherine Waltz so you won't miss out on anything or be forced to sit out a dance.
